Corporate Web Support:
Worked for CGI as Software Engineer in a team called CWS (Corporate Web Support). We support more than 400 applications for BELL Corporate. Here tasks are assigned to us by a ticketing system and we complete them as per the SLA. We also keep in touch with Developers, App. Owners and co-ordinate with them to resolve issues relating to Web servers or App. servers.
Job responsibilities:
- Administering Application servers (IBM WebSphere, Weblogic) & Web Servers (SunOne, Apache, IIS) and monitoring them using BigBrother.
- Troubleshooting Problems related to application servers configurations and its performance etc.
- Deploying, upgrading new applications in IBM WebSphere from Dev to Stage to Production.
- Installing new WebSphere Application servers and adding them to the cluster.
- Developing scripts to monitor WebSphere like thread pool size, JVM garbage collection etc.
- New Driver installation for Data sources.
- Installing Open Deploy clients on web servers and App. Servers
