Converge in the proof

If (sn) and (tn) are sequences such that (sn) > (tn) > 1 and (sntn) converges, then (sn) converges and (tn) converges.

Be careful not to suppose that (sn) and (tn) converge in the proof as that is what we are trying to prove.
