Until the 2007-2009 recession, conventional economics wisdom was that the US economy was no longer vulnerable to particularly long or severe recessions. Given that the 2007-2009 recession was both long and severe, is conventional wisdom wrong or was the 2007-2009 recession an aberration? What do you think? Explain your reasoning.
