Consider this statement once you determine what a win is to

Consider this statement. Once you determine what a "WIN" is to you, you can then come up with the perfect strategy. This can be done by studying your opponent, the industry, the market, or whatever the case may be. Some sort of research is needed to come up with the perfect strategy in order to reach your goal. Is it always possible in negotiation to know what a "win" really is or are there gradations of "winning"? Can you think of any examples where there is no clear-cut win in a negotiation; however, it is worth the effort to attempt to establish a goal to achieve satisfaction?
