Question: Consider the data given in Table and the graph of the data set that was given in Figure. Would it be reasonable to construct a normal probability plot of the standardized residuals in testing for normality of the error term? Construct a simulated envelope for the residuals using both the Minitab macros ATKINSON and FLACFLRS. Do these envelopes suggest evidence of nonnormality? Does the one extreme standardized deletion residual suggest possible nonnormality, or something else. Now use the Minitab macros MATKINSO and MFLACFLR that utilize standardized residuals, and compare the results.
