Consider the critique of the identity status model offered by postmodern theorists. The postmodern identity is made up of diverse elements and changes across contexts and across time. Compare and contrast the postmodern identity status model with Erikson's original model. Then, think about your own identity from the postmodern perspective. What is your identity in different contexts (e.g., at work, with your family, with your friends, at school, etc.)?
