Consider a cold air-standard diesel cycle at the beginning

Consider a cold air-standard Diesel cycle. At the beginning of the compression process, the pressure is 0.1 MPa, the temperature is 320 K, and the volume of air is 0.02 m3. The maximum temperature of the cycle is 1500 K, and the compression ratio is 20. You may assume States 1, 2, 3, and 4 correspond to the beginning state of the compression, heat addition, expansion, and heat rejection processes of the cycle, respectively, and that cp is 1.005 kJ/(kg K) and cv is 0.718 kJ/(kg K)

(a) Sketch the p-v and T-s diagram for the cycle indicating stages 1-4.

(b) Find the cutoff ratio for the cycle.

(c) Determine the heat addition, in kJ.

(d) Calculate the net work for the cycle.

(e) Find the thermal efficiency.
