Confidence interval for the mean value

Suppose that a single fair die is tossed 30 times. Let X denote number obtained per toss. Assume that x(bar) assumes the value 2.83 for these 30 tosses.

(a) Determine a 95% confidence interval for the mean value of X. Did the interval you constructed trap true mean of 3.5?

(b) If we develop a 90% confidence interval on μ, will the interval have a chance of trapping μ? Discuss based upon what you learned in part (a).

(c) If we develop a 99% confidence interval on μ, will the interval have a chance of trapping true mean? Describe.

(d) Develop a 99% confidence interval on μ. Did this interval trap the mean?
