The outside dimensions and playing lines of a tennis court are standard and well established. However, the distance between courts, or sidelines, varies. Many construction guidelines recommend 24 feet between courts, but to conserve space, builders plan for only at least 12 feet. Independent random samples of public courts were obtained in five different cities, and the distance (in feet) between courts was recorded. The data are given in the following table.

a. Conduct an analysis of variance test to show that there is evidence of an overall difference in population mean distances between tennis courts in public parks. Use a = 0.01.

b. Construct the Bonferroni 95% confidence intervals to isolate the pairs of means contributing to the overall difference.

c. Draw a graph to represent the results of the multiple comparison procedure in part (b).
