Hatcheries around the country provide chicks to poultry farms for growing into eventual roasters and broilers. Independent random samples of chicks from different hatcheries were obtained, and the shipping weight (in grams) of each chick was measured. The data are given in the following table.

a. Conduct an analysis of variance test to show that there is evidence of an overall difference in population mean chick weights. Use a = 0.05.

b. Construct the Bonferroni 95% confidence intervals to isolate the pairs of means contributing to the overall difference.

c. Construct the Tukey 95% confidence intervals to isolate the pairs of means contributing to the overall difference.

d. Are your answers to parts (b) and (c) the same? If so, did you expect this to happen? If not, why not?
