(b) Critically discuss and examine the basic principles of sustainable tourism development.

The rapid enlargement and the widening appeal of ecotourism have prompted a debate concerning its definition and dimensions. Explain.

Considered incompatible with the concept of sustainability, mass tourism has recently been recognized within the tourism literature, as potentially being able of more responsible activities and able to integrate sustainability principles.

Critically illustrate out the concept of mass tourism and examine the relationships and effects of mass tour operators as compared to specialist or alternative tour operators upon the sustainability of tourism destinations.
