Assignment:
One article review of at least 1,000 words each will be completed on two articles from magazines of your choice. Do not use the local newspaper. Issues must be no older than six weeks - if you cannot determine the original publication date for the article, you may not use it as a basis of this paper.
Your Article Review must be based upon at least two articles that can be used to apply the macroeconomic concepts dealt with in this course. The reviews should follow the format given in the example and include a graphical application (it should deal with the more advanced concepts of aggregate demand and aggregate supply as it pertains to monetary and fiscal policy).
The paper will be broken into three sections:
a) summary of the main issues in the article,
b) applications of economic theories and (including fiscal and/or monetary policy and the graphical application of AD & AS)
c) a personal viewpoint (apply macroeconomic terms and concepts to your viewpoint).
The written presentation of the paper (grammar and style) will also be used in evaluating the student's work (see example).
