Reading the following chapter Community-Based Correctional Programs for juvenile Offenders
1. Ever since "corrections" began, there has been an ongoing debate between the concept of community based corrections and institutional based corrections. The debate includes budget issues, punishment issues, rehabilitation issues, law and order issues, accountability issues etc. My impression from your profiles is that none of you are currently employed in the field of corrections and specifically juvenile corrections. As taxpayers and members of your community, discuss the two ideas from the perspective of what you would like to see your "community" do and accomplish with the idea of "corrections".
2. Very briefly, has your opinion about having two separate systems for adults and juveniles changed at all since the beginning of the course?
