Computed tomography:
Computed tomography (CT imaging) is also known as CAT (computed axial tomography) scanning and it is based on the X-ray principle. The CAT scan differs from the radiograph in that the former consists of a very thin beam of X-ray, which passes through a cross section of the body in a rotational manner.
