Compute the probability distribution

A closed box haves 2 red, 4 black, and 7 white balls (Which are otherwise identical). In one trial of the experiment, you reach in and (without looking) you pull out random ball. Assume that you return the ball after each trial, and you repeat the trial 10 times. Let x be the random variable representing the number of white balls in your trials.

a. Is this a binomial distribution? Justify your answer.

b. Compute the probability distribution for this experiment.

c. What is the average number of white balls to be expected in 10 trials?

d. Is x = 9 a rare event?

e. What is more likely in 10 trials: no white balls or 10 white balls?

f. What is more likely in 10 trials: exactly 3 red balls or exactly 7 white balls?
