Compute the expected sea level rise for the projected 4degc

For this problem, compute the expected sea level rise for the projected 4°C mean global temperature rise anticipated by 2100. The average depth of the ocean is 3790 m, but you will not consider this whole depth to be expanding. Instead you will only consider the expansion of the upper, well mixed portion of the ocean to be subject to thermal expansion. This is the region above the thermocline, which for the purposes of this exercise, is 500 m below the surface. The volume expansion coefQicient of water is 207×10-?6/°C and the radius of the Earth is 6.38× 106m. Based on the information provided compute the change in volume of the upper surface layer and the consequent rise in sea level. Assume that water is incompressible and that the occurs only radially outward.
