1.Compute the allowable load on a column with fixed ends if it is 5.45 meters long and made from an S150 x 18.6(S6 x 12.5) beam. The material is ASTM A36 steel. Use the AISC formula.
2.A curve is 800 ft long. The PVI is at an elevation of 682.4 ft. and at station 46+50. Determine the height at each station between the PVC and PVT. The slope from the the PVC to the PVI is +4% and -2.1% from the PVI to the PVT. I get the answers for the PVC and PVT but can't get anything in between.
