Compute angle between shorter diagonal of paralelogram-side


1) Determine lengths of both diagonals in parallelogram which has two sides of length 7, two sides of length 11, and two angles of 39 degrees.

2) The parallelogram has two sides of length 6, two sides of length 11, and two angles of 44 degrees. Determine angle between shorter diagonal of paralelogram and the side with length 6.

3) Assume minute hand of the clock is 5 inches long, and hour hand is 3 inches long. Assume angle formed by minute hand and hour hand is 62 degrees.

(a) Determine distance between endpoint of minute hand and endpoint of hour hand by using Law of Cosines.

(b) Compute distance between endpoint of minute hand and endpoint of hour hand by assuming that center of clock is located at origin, selecting the convenient location for minute hand and finding coordinates of its endpoint, then finding coordinates of hour hand in the position which makes the 62 degree angle with minute hand, and finally using usual distance formula to determine distance between endpoint of minute hand and endpoint of hour hand.
