Compute acceleration and tension in the rope


A device recognized as at woods machine comprises of two masses suspending from the ends of a vertical rope which passes over a pulley. Suppose the rope and pulley are mass-less and there is no friction in the pulley. If the masses are of 19.9 kg, compute their acceleration ‘a’ and the tension in the rope, T. Use g = 9.81 m/s^2
