Introduction:

Crime analysts have to think outside of the box when trying to come up with strategies to fight crime. This assignment will have you step out of the comfort zone.

Activity Instructions:

Tactical arrests and the targeting of offenders can help temper problems in the short term, but longer-term gains in crime reduction need a more comprehensive understanding of the crime problem. Please discuss ways in which we can use crime mapping to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the crime problem. Let’s get creative on this one, and be sure to incorporate GIS into your example.
