Problem: In this assignment you are asked to critically reflect on your own doing and undoing of gender within a gendered social order. Pick some component of your gender performance (whether it be as a woman, man, trans, Two-spirit, non-binary, etc.) and critically examine what this performance means, and how, when, where, why and with whom this component of your gender performance is important. Consider the interactional effects of your success and failure to do or undo gender in this way. What is at stake in this aspect of your performance? Your performance of gender has changed over time - for some more dramatically than for others - and this too might be a component of your reflection.
