Discussion Post: Methods of Social Research- Quantitative Research
SPSS Lab report: Students will be asked to complete an analysis of secondary data from the General Social Survey (GSS), in preparation for a qualitative research project to be completed in SOC 320 (Qualitative Research Methods for the Social Sciences). At the beginning of the semester, they will be asked to think of a topic for this project. Then, they will design a hypothesis, select variables from the GSS, run a statistical analysis using SPSS, and write up their analysis.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
