Case Scenario:
Carol Gilligan, a professor at Harvard University and a former research assistant for Lawrence Kohlberg, has challenged Kohlberg's research and findings on the levels of moral development because he failed to include women in his studies. Gilligan argues that Kohlberg's levels of moral development may in fact be accurate for males in this society, but that they may not be accurate for females based on differences in the socialization process for boys and girls.
