Book Project - Never in Anger
In Never in Anger, Jean Briggs describes a society that not only has very different beliefs and values than her own, but a society where people express their emotions very differently.
Compare and contrast Utku attitudes toward love, affection, anger, and communication with those of Americans. What, according to Briggs, accounts for the unique temperament or emotional makeup of adults in Utku society? Does this book call into question the idea of a universal psychology? Why or why not?
