Will turn in a research essay of five or six pages. In addition to five or six pages of written text the paper should contain a title page (with your name, date, history class, and essay title) and a bibliography.
The essay should be organized as follows: introductory paragraph with thesis; followed by body paragraphs that cite primary and secondary sources; a paragraph conclusion that summarizes your thesis and supporting arguments. Each essay must cite at least two primary sources and two secondary sources in Chicago-Turabian Format (footnotes).

Compare and contrast the lives of Sojourner Truth and Harriet Tubman. What impact did both of these ladies have on American Society? How were their experiences in the United States similar and/ or different?
