Compare and contrast the experiences of Richard Wright and Zora Neale Hurston (there is an anchor chart with linking words to consider using in module 8.03, right above this assignment). How are the experiences of these writers similar? How are they different? For each story, how does the writer's tone help develop the theme of personal empowerment? Which story, in your opinion, is most effective in conveying this theme?
