Reading: Poe's tale, "The House of Usher" &
Film: "The House of Usher (1989) by Alan Birkinshaw.
Assignments: compare and contrast Poe's tale and the film.
Requirements: 5 paragraphs. In the first paragraph, (no more that ½ a page) do a formal introduction, and summary of both the tale and the film.
At the end of the 1st paragraph state your thesis, in the ensuing paragraphs begin to prove your thesis right with subtopics related to proving your thesis right.
To construct a sub-topic you need to Formulate topic sentences that contain a sub-topi, then use quotes from the text, list of examples from the text, and comment on the quotes, etc.
