Find the points on the y axis whose distances from the points (6, 7) and (4,-3) are in the ratio 1:2. [Ans:(0, 9) , (0,35/3 )]
Ans: Point on y-axis (0, y)
A(6, 7) B(4, -3) ratio 1:2
(62 + (7 - y)2)/42 + (-3 - y)2 =(1/2)2
On solving we get (0, 9) & (0, 35/3 )
