Classification of polymers - Thermoplastics
These are the polymers that can be simply softened repeatedly while heated and hardened when cooled along with little change in their characteristics. The intermolecular forces in these types of polymers are intermediate among those of fibres and elastomers. There is no cross binding among the chain. The softening occurs like the polymer chain go much more and more freely due to not presence of cross link. While heated, they make a fluid which can be moulded into any desired shapes and after that cooled to get the desired product and melt
