Spark ignition engine, known as SI engine and Compression ignition engine, known as C.I. engine
5. Number of cylinder as:
Single cylinder engine and Multi cylinder engine
6. Position of the cylinder as:
Horizontal engine, Vertical engine Vee engine, In-line engine and Opposed cylinder engine
