Juliet got an urgent email from her boss at Head Office. She had to determine whether the graduate recruitment programme her banking firm had been successfully operating for the last 5 years would be needed next year, given the state of the economy. What decision should Juliet make?

Assignment Instructions:

1. Write a 1200 word essay that addresses the following questions:

Define both types of managerial decisions that can be made (programmed and non-programmed) and decide which one Juliet is facing.
Provide supporting arguments for your choice.

Illustrate the logic behind your choice using both the Classical and Behavioural Decision Making Models. Provide supporting arguments regarding which one best fits Juliet’s situation.

Highlight what factors are likely to play a major role in the ultimate decision you choose for Juliet.

2. Ensure your essay addresses the above questions.

4. Assignment Writing Guidelines for Business Students (Emerson) and/or OWLL provide guidance as to the finer points of essay writing.

5.  Use citations and compile your reference list using the APA format. Note that you must have a minimum of three scholarly citations and references in addition to your textbook (i.e. a minimum of four in total).  Your essay must contain reference to at least one journal article.
