Class what potential improvements do you see in how systems

Class, another aspect of pervasive analytics that is coming down the road, will likely be better customization of how, when, and to whom information is delivered.

Right now, most apps and devices are pretty bad about this. Microsoft's Office Updater for example, always seems to prompt me to update Microsoft Word right when I'm in the middle of preparing an important document on a tight deadline. However, some things are getting better. My Skype for Business app senses when I'm doing a full-screen presentation in PowerPoint and knows not to interrupt me with messages from colleagues while I'm presenting. Over time, I expect that systems will get better at learning our personal preferences and also understanding our immediate situation, and communicating with us in a way that's sensitive to both our personal styles and the context we're in (e.g., updates on sports scores during leisure time but not during a meeting with a business client).

Class, what potential improvements do you see in how systems use our individual preferences and context in delivering information? What are some examples where this is already happening?
