As you know, we find ourselves embroiled in an unfortunate situation where our CEO has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting several female employees in his office. It has also recently come to light that our Board of Directors may have had some information about these incidents last year, but failed to take any action against the CEO because of the good financial returns he has been producing. Can you please draft a memo that will be given to each area supervisor giving them some guidance on how they should respond to the people why work in their departments and/or the media when requests for information are made about the situation. Keeping in mind a few things: the organization has an obligation to take action regarding any claims of sexual misconduct in the workplace, the organization is prohibited by federal law from retaliating against anyone who has made a claim of sexual harassment again another employee, and we do not know any more facts than those presented above at this point. It is important that our leadership team, including you. sets the proper tone here, with an understanding that we will be under a lot of scrutiny going forward.
