Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn has been criticized for its ending (from then point when Tom Sawyer shows up at his aunt's farm to the novel's conclusion). Many critics claim that this portion of the book stops the ongoing moral development that Huck has had to undergo during the course of the novel and he becomes a side character as Tom dominates.
