Church and world religions

Mohandas K. Gandhi was a big champion of compassion whose non-violent campaign convinced the British to leave India with little bloodshed and loss of life. He was assassinated by a fellow Hindu for loving his enemies as he negotiated with leaders of the Muslim community in India whom most Hindus considered the enemy. Explain why or why not?
