1. Choose what you see as the most memorable aspect of one of the two readings above. What made this part of the story so memorable for you? What type of descriptions or language did the writer use that helped make this part of the story so memorable? Be specific.
2. Choose one of the stories and identify the following using specific examples from the reading you selected:

3. How does "There Never Was a Golden Key or Limousine" fit the literacy narrative genre? Think about the characteristics of a narrative as described in the PowerPoint presentation. Which characteristics did you notice in this story. Provide examples.
4. Identify three sensory images in "Taking on Mountains." How do these images help the reader picture what is taking place in the narrative? Be specific.
