SECONDARY RESEARCH ASSIGNMENT
Secondary research is very valuable if properly sourced and interpreted. It is always wise to begin with secondary research before primary research is conducted. For example, any consideration of plans for Berkeley's growth and development always begins with an assessment of available secondary information. For this assignment, you are going to review secondary data that's relevant to Berkeley College. You should find answers to the following three questions:
1.What percentage of the US adult (18+) population has attained at least a bachelor's degree?
2.Choose two of Berkeley's campuses, and describe how the Claritas PRIZM system classifies them. Then, in a short paragraph, describe what you think the implications of this information are for Berkeley College.
3.Find a breakout of the population of New York City by age group. Ideally, find a source that breaks the population down into five-year increments (e.g. birth to 4 years old, 5 to 9 years old, etc.) What does this suggest for Berkeley College in the future?
Then one additional piece of information:
4.Find one additional fact that is relevant to Berkeley College. This can be anything of your choosing. Be sure to provide a complete citation for your fact, so that I can access the original source material. Explain why and how it is useful information for the school.
