Choose one of the topics and write! The paper should be about five pages double spaced . You should use the APA 6th ed for formatting, style and citations. You can find more information about APA6 on the libraries website.
Topic 1: Small town fraud
When I travel to smaller cities and read the newspaper there is almost a story per week about fraud. Find a newspaper of a smaller city than NY (population of 2 million or less). Read through some old issues on-line and find a story about a fraud or embezzlement. Write about how it happened, how it could have been prevented, how it actually was resolved. If you want/need more info make a few phone calls. See if you can get a prosecutor to talk to you. (Interview is a method of fraud investigation.)
Paper 2: Topic 2: Insurance and/or medical fraud
The nation is exploding with insurance fraud and medical fraud (often involving medical insurance fraud). There are many resources on the internet about these topics as well as articles in journals. Write about how it happened, how it could have been prevented, how it actually was resolved
