Choose one of the following topics to make your initial post of about 200-250 words. Remember to make your initial post by Friday night at midnight. Finally, remember to post two substantive replies to either the other topics or to your classmates by Sunday night at midnight. By the end of the week you should have made at least three posts in total: one main post responding to the topic and two substantial replies to classmates.
1. As you may realize, Hinduism is a diverse religion. Let's focus on popular forms of devotion and practice. Choose a deity mentioned in our book. Describe this deity - what are some of his or her associations? What stories can you tell us about this deity? Go online and find a picture of this deity to upload to your post (remember to cite the source of the image). How are some of the ways people worship Hindu deities?
2. Choose one of the three recommended video links to watch. Each of them shows or describes a way of living out the ideals of Hindu spirituality. In your discussion post note how the video portrays these ideals.
