Assignment: Critical review of a theoretical perspective

The first assignment weights 30% of the overall mark, and involves the critical review of an organizational perspective, as presented in the literature and the discussion of each potential in offering insights into understanding/researching organizations.

The student should:

a) choose a theoretical perspective from the ones covered in the module syllabus (e.g. critical theory, power and self-discipline, organizational change, etc) and develop a specific topic to explore (the module leader should confirm adequacy of finalized topic)I have chose CSR and Ethics

b) explore the philosophical underpinnings of the approach, and the research agenda it sets, i.e. how organizational phenomena are conceptualized via this perspective, and the possibilities it offers to conceptualize and theorize organizational issues. The student should develop an argument to answer how the chosen perspective answers a different set of questions and finds unique solutions, compare to other perspective (the emphasis is on the contribution of the chosen perspective in analysing organizations
