Problem:
I need a response to this discussion question including a question: Hello, Children who are abused in any way should be reported to the police or social workers as soon as possible if they suspect a child is in danger. Sexual warning signs reflecting sexual abuse on a child can be complaints of pain, odor, or bleeding in anal or genital areas. The child may even complaints of painful urination or bowel movements. A child may emotionally display low self-esteem and withdrawn or be overly aggressive. When a child is physically abused, they may have bruises in various stages of healing, or complaints of pain without obvious causes. Emotionally a child may display aggressive behavior in play or have difficulty getting along with other children. They may cringe when someone moves quickly as if afraid of being hit. When a child is being neglected, they may have dirty clothes all the time and be looking for food in trash cans. Emotionally they may miss a lot of school or have little energy. The definitions of abuse have been addressed and documented by physicians and lawmakers to keep children safe now with new laws in place for children. Lois Reference Protecting our Children, 2010.
