Casey Anthony, a Florida resident, has recently gained fame in the murder trial of her daughter, Kaylee. Among the charges brought against Anthony in court were check fraud and murder. The check fraud charge came about after an investigation revealed that Anthony had stolen her friend Amy Huizenga’s checkbook and written checks amounting to $650. She wrote the checks to pay her bills and without Huizenga’s knowledge. Anthony received no additional jail time and was ordered to serve one year probation.
