Check the following sentence in terms of grammar and syntax please.
I am afraid it doesn't make sense and I 've made numerous attempts to correct it. Been a foreigner and doing a degree in Law, I guess I should have been prepared for all this! I am so sorry for giving you trouble though. The sentence is: Kissinger's ( Kissinger was one of the politicians orchestrating the exile of the people) rather appalling statement: ‘[t]here are only 90,000 people out there. Who gives a damn?' is indicative of how these people were perceived and treated by the authorities during the enforced evacuation.
