Problem:
How do you calculate the lower control line for a "p" chart for quality control purposes? I have sample size of 50 items in my procduction process. From my samples I've detrmine the fraction defective from my sample is 0.006 and the standard deviation is .001. If my desired confidence level is 99.7 percent, how do I set up my equation to obtain the lcl?
