Attachment, Emotions, and Traumatic Experiences
Using the film Radio Flyer, as an example, respond to the following related to the child and the primary adult in the family:
1. Characterize the observed attachment style of the child. Discuss briefly how the interaction between the adult and the child in question has informed your choice-give examples.
2. Discuss the intra-familial dynamic that created the attachment process. Elaborate on whether or not that process is disruptive, dysfunctional, et cetera, as well as why you feel that way.
3. Detail how traumatic experiences, such as abuse, neglect, illness, or some other form of interaction (such as parental over-involvement), have contributed to the adaptation (or maladaptation) observed in the film family.
