What lessons do the ancient Greeks teach us regarding the responsibility of personal character in a good national leader? Make a composite leader who exemplifies the desired qualities of a good leader by recognizing and describing significant acts by at least five people made by Hesiod, Homer and Sophocles who explain how character effects the actions and the efficiency of a good leader. What can we learn from the ancient Greek leaders which would help us to more clearly judge the competence of our national leaders? Pay most attention to how character influences the style, methods and efficiency of national leaders. Essay must not be an evaluation of the individual policies of leaders regarding specific issues such like war or the economy.
