Challenges that non-binary, gender queer people faced

Problem:

Unique challenges that non-binary, gender queer, and gender non-conforming people are faced with many issues in society. They may feel that they are forced to choose a gender that does not represent who they are. For example, most restrooms are either female or male. This may cause feelings of being forced to choose a label for themselves that they don't agree with. Many also feel socially excluded and rejected from family, churches, and people who don't agree with their gender identities. Another challenge is the work environment. Dress codes and discrimination can make the work environment uncomfortable and even hostile if bullying and discrimination occur. This can cause stress, depression, and overall mental health issues. Society, workplaces, schools, and communities can be more inclusive by using gender neutral language that is appropriate for everyone, creating neutral gendered bathrooms, and update forms to have options other than just male and female. Another way to support different gender identity groups is to have support groups they can attend. I think that gender diversity training for staff, teachers, and healthcare providers would be helpful so that everyone is treated equally and respectfully regardless of your own opinions and beliefs.
