Students will be required to write a scholarly paper on one of the 4 topics below.
The paper is to be independently developed, contain original thought, and include appropriate scholarly references that support the student’s thoughts and ideas. The goal for this paper is to produce a journal quality paper for submission to a peer-reviewed journal on systems engineering. The paper will be no longer than 5 single-spaced pages, independent of the cover page, table of contents and references.
All citations and references in the paper must conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) (6th edition). You will be required to use the paper template provided by the course instructor.
1) Discuss how the use of standards improves compatibility in systems designs.
2) Describe a robustness measure that could be used in evaluating robustness in systems.
3) Explain the challenges associated with reusability in systems design and the important characteristics required in order to effect reuse.
4) Explain how understand ability and the development of a conceptual model is used as a design technique during the systems design processes.
