Cell phones has arrived from your supplier

Suppose a shipment of 50 cell phones has arrived from your supplier, The Samsing Manufacturer. As the engineer for your company you are concerned that there may be defective cell phones in the shipment. In the past Samsing has sent shipments with 12% defective cell phones. You are ok with that and you are willing to assume a = 6 defective cell phones in the shipment. Your contract with Samsing is such that you can take a sample of 5 cell phones and examine each for being defective. The agreement is that every sample of 5 from the 50 must be equally likely to be the selected sample. Let X be the number of defective cell phones in the sample of 5. a) What is Sx b) How many samples of 5 from the 50 are there? c) What is P(X=0)? d) What is P(X=1)? e) What is E(X)?
