Casting Alloys are -
(i) Permanent moulds are commonly used for the casting of grey iron, aluminum alloys and magnesium alloys.
(ii) Slush Casting : Low melting point alloys like tin, lead and zinc base alloys are commonly used as casting materials in this process.
(iii) Pressed Casting : This method used for ornamental casting only.
(iv) Die Casting Alloys : A fairly wide range of non-ferrous metals and alloys can be die cast. The most common metals and their alloys employed for die casting are :
Zinc, Al, Mg , Cu, lead and tin.
